The best minds from the corporate and academic worlds conceived the idea of the Indian School of Business (ISB) in 1995. ISB ranked 28th amongst the best business schools in the world in 2020 and the 100th school in the world to achieve the ‘triple crown’ of accreditations from Association of MBA (AMBA), EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) making it a prestigious institution in Asia.

The Challenge
ISB’s Hyderabad campus is known for its lush greenery and large boulders, the campus architects retained the tree canopies and rock formations when constructing their elegant buildings. Owing to which, the scenic landscape campus often faced wireless network connectivity issues. They wanted to replace the patchy network and resolve the challenges of both wired and wireless networks. ISB’s aim was to have a stable, reliable, and round-the-clock network connection that will benefit 1000+ students and faculty in the campus and residential quarters.
The Solution
Drawn by ISB’s challenges, Netcon’s expert advisory services set forth to provide the best-in-class solution for their network connectivity issues. In the verge of providing seamless Wi-Fi connectivity, the technical professionals came up with the design for expansion of the Wireless LAN using controller-based Access Points with 802.11 AC and upgraded the existing WLAN controllers. The consulting services team was involved in the step-by-step process from designing to freezing the solution, thereby, they monitored every stage of the campus Wi-Fi enhancement project.
Keeping in mind the throughput requirement for every user and their endpoint, the expert team from Netcon was able to scale-up the network connectivity significantly, the students and faculty were able to use ISB’s campus network all throughout the academic year. Though the number of devices to be connected increased enormously, both the wired and wireless connections could withstand all odds.
